Responsibilities
- Shares information with internal contacts with common desire to reach a solution
- Understands, remembers, and communicates routine, factual information
- Ability to make decisions which have significant impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside immediate work unit
- Ability to complete routine forms or conduct routine oral communications
- Routinely operates multiple devices simultaneously as required per department
- Overtime and working extended hours may be required to support the operational needs of the lab
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time. Could perform tasks while standing or walking up to 100% of the time.
- Ability to lift or carry up to 40 lbs.
- Must be able to reach, bend, kneel, squat, push and have a high level of manual dexterity Potentially exposed to hazardous chemicals, extreme temperatures and blood borne pathogens
- Required to wear personal protective equipment
- Fast paced environment with frequent interruptions
Education
Medical Lab Technician (MLT) or Medical Technologist (MT), licensure in the State of Tennessee
Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution
Associate degree in a chemical, physical, or biological science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution
