Join a Top 10 Pharma Company as an IoT Engineer - We are seeking a talented and motivated IoT Engineer to join our data science and software development team in Belgium. In this role, you will design and build a robust platform to integrate lab equipment, providing a standard interface to control devices and exchange data, thereby aiding the digitalization of our laboratory operations (Lab of the Future).

Key Responsibilities:

• Consult stakeholders to collect and document platform requirements
• Map lab devices and associated communication protocols
• Translate requirements into software architecture
• Build communication modules for device control and data acquisition
• Develop an IoT platform for integration with our Laboratory Execution System (LES)
• Conduct extensive testing of the platform and communication modules
• Provide ongoing support and maintenance for the IoT platform
• Document platform design and write user manuals

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in IoT solution design and development, preferably in a laboratory setting
• Proficiency in Python and JavaScript
• Strong knowledge of instrumentation protocols (e.g., MODBUS, RS232)
• Understanding of REST APIs, message bus technologies (Kafka), and DevOps basics
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills in English and Dutch
• Experience in regulated industries is a plus
